Product details

Cell culture flasks are the most suitable culture vessels for long-term cell culture, large-scale cell expansion and contamination prevention in the laboratory. Cell culture flasks provide convenient and safe handling of cells to ensure safe experimental procedures. There are five sizes of cell culture flasks: 12.5cm2,25cm2, 75cm2, 175cm2, 225cm2, with TC and non-TC surface treatments available. Two types of caps are available, the vent cap type has a 0.22μm breathable and water-blocking membrane, and the Plug Seal cap provides a semi-open culture or closed culture switch structure for visual and tactile dual indication.

  • All-round scale marking: Both sides are engraved with horizontal and vertical scales. Additional scales are provided to indicate the maximum (MAX), optimum (IDEAL), and minimum (MIN) capacity, which is convenient to control the liquid amount of the medium in the bottle; The special body design is convenient for more even gas exchange and temperature balance
  • Inclined neck design:The Inclined neck design greatly facilitates the operation of the experiment,effectively reduce the blind area of liquid absorption;
  • frosted texture design, convenient for direct writing during experiment
  • stackable, and the high skirt on the back enables the culture bottles to be stable stacked, the support bar at the bottom of the bottle ensures that it is vertical when standing;
  • Multifunctional gas exchange bottle cap:The breathable cap is equipped with a 0.22μm PVDF hydrophobic membrane, which can effectively prevent bacteria and ensure gas exchange; the sealed cap has an arrow mark, which is easy to identify the gas exchange status;
  • The large thread design of the bottle cap caneffectively prevent the bottle cap from rolling on the placing table, reducing unnecessary trouble and increasing the safety of the experiment.

Question:

What does the TC-treated in the product name mean?

Wenjng
05-Nov-2024

Answer:

TC-treated means Tissue Cultured to treat the surface, improving the hydrophilicity of the polystyrene (PS) surface by means of corona discharge or gas plasma, improving the adhesion of the proteins required for cell adhesion to help cells adhere to the wall.

Question:

I want to be coated with extracellular matrix. Which surface culture consumables should I use?

Wenjng
05-Nov-2024

Answer:

You can choose a culture vessel with an untreated surface to self-coat the extracellular matrix. Of course, in this case, TC treatment surface utensils can also be used.

Question:

How do I use cell culture bottles with closed caps? What is the difference between the use of a lid with a filter membrane?

Wenjng
05-Nov-2024

Answer:

A cell culture bottle with a sealed lid provides a closed cell culture environment. If you need to connect to the air in the incubator, you need to loosen the cap slightly after the culture bottle is placed in the incubator to allow air to enter. Also, when taking out, you need to tighten the cap before taking out. The cap with filter membrane itself has a breathable function, and the filter membrane can prevent microbial contamination, so the cap can be tightened directly into the incubator when in use, but it should be noted that the filter membrane on the cap cannot be wet, and the wet filter membrane cannot ensure the passage of gas.

Question:

What do I hear a lot about T25, T175?

Wenjng
05-Nov-2024

Answer:

Taking T25 as an example, it refers to a cell culture bottle with a growth surface area of 25 cm2, which corresponds to different product numbers according to the type of bottle cap and different culture surfaces.

Question:

I bought the product No. xxxxxx, what is its growth area? How much medium should I add to grow my cells?

Wenjng
05-Nov-2024

Answer:

We recommend a medium dosage of 0.2-0.3mL/cm2.

Question:

The cell culture bottle/dish I purchased is not vacuum-packed, the bag looks loose, is there a quality problem?

Wenjng
05-Nov-2024

Answer:

The cell culture consumables are not vacuum-packed and are only manually pumped for ease of transport, so there are differences. In addition, the temperature and air pressure in different regions will also have an impact on the tightness of the package. If there is no air leakage in the package and the lid is not removed from the product, it will not affect the sterile performance and product quality of the product, please use it with confidence. If the package is damaged and leaky or the lid is coming off the product, take a photo and file a complaint through your distributor, taking care to include a photo of the product's outer box. When you receive the goods, please carefully confirm whether the outer box is damaged or deformed.

Question:

I can't use a package of culture supplies in one experiment. How should I keep it?

Wenjng
05-Nov-2024

Answer:

We cannot guarantee the sterility of the products after opening, so it is recommended that you store them in a sterile environment, control the ambient temperature and humidity, and avoid light/ultraviolet irradiation.

Question:

Culture flask/dish/plate, cells do not stick to the wall, is it a product quality problem?

Wenjng
05-Nov-2024

Answer:

Here are many factors that cause cell non-adherence, such as medium composition and pH, culture environment, digestive manipulation, cell type, cell generation, and so on. If you have been using the same product number to culture the same cell line for a long time and the cells are normally attached to the wall before but are not attached to the wall now, it is recommended that you record the batch number of the product used in both cases in time, and repeat the parallel experiment, that is, use the same source of cells to culture on the two batches of consumables respectively (pay attention to the use of the same source of media). Culture in the same incubator to determine the main cause of cell non-adherence.

Question:

The color of the culture bottle/dish/plate I bought this time is more yellow than that of last time, is it because of product quality?

Wenjng
05-Nov-2024

Answer:

Different batches of plastic consumables may turn yellow after irradiation sterilization, which is a normal phenomenon.

Question:

I want to grow suspended cells, which surface should I use?

gufengming
04-Dec-2024

Answer:

Suspension cells do not have the need for cell adhesion, and generally use untreated surface culture consumables. Suspended cells can also be cultured on the TC treated surface, but depending on the state and type of cells, some cells may appear to adhere to the wall.
