Product details

Ultrafiltration centrifugal filters are widely employed membrane separation consumables in molecular biology and protein research. Driven by centrifugal force, they force solutions through an ultrafiltration membrane to achieve separation based on molecular size. Widely used in protein concentration, nucleic acid concentration, buffer exchange, dialysis and desalting.

Features

  • Available inmultiple pore sizes with the following defined Molecular Weight Cut-Offs (MWCO): 1, 3, 5, 10, 30, 50 and 100kDa
  • Temperature range: -20°C to +50°C
  • Non-sterile, disposable.
  • Autoclavability: No
  • Adopt innovative one-step molding technology to ensure the structural integrity of the inner tube under high centrifugal force and deliver outstanding resistance to high centrifugal loads. The streamlined profile eliminates the complicated multi-component structure of traditional ultrafiltration tubes.
  • The membrane is made of modified polyethersulfone (mPES) to enhance hydrophilicity and minimize protein adsorption.
  • V-shaped dual-membrane configuration ensures sufficient filtration area and facilitates collection of filtrate in the upper chamber.
  • Caps available in multiple colors to avoid misoperation.
  • Equipped with enlarged volume graduation marks for visual reference during sample loading.
  • The 0.5mL centrifugal filter supports inverted centrifugation for convenient recovery of small-volume samples.
  • Manufactured in a Class 100,000 cleanroom environment.
  • Customizable cap colors available

User Guide

The ultrafiltration membrane in the Ultrafiltration Centrifugal Filter device contains a small amount of glycerin. To avoid interference, soak the membrane with pure water or add pure water and centrifuge for 5 minutes before use. Discard the liquid prior to sample loading.

Once the ultrafiltration membrane gets wet, it needs to remain moist until it is used up. If a pre-wetted membrane dries out, pore closure or pore-size alteration may occur.

The ultrafiltration tube is for single‑use only.
